Statements | Dedicated Reading
The “Srīpāda Srīvallabha Charitāmrutam” is an extraordinary book about the first incarnation of Lord Dattatreya in the present age.
In an exciting and entertaining way, it gives an insight into the fascinating biography of Srīpāda Srīvallabha (1320-1350), his sportive plays, teachings, prophecies and miracles.
The book provides a feeling of being in his very presence and participating in the events. As decreed by Srīpāda, the work was kept secret for thirty three generations. It came to light in 2001; it was then published in Telugu and has now been translated into several languages.
The revised English version, 2nd edition, is published by Dhanishta Foundation, India; it contains a foreword by Dr. K. Parvathi Kumar and is enriched with many footnote explanations, 21 images and a commented register of persons.
The Srīpāda Srīvallabha Charitāmrutam is also distributed for free as PDF (20 MB). However, it is good to have the book in paper form.
Srīpāda about the Book
“I will remain in a subtle form in every place where My biography is devotedly read. Mine is a comprehensive yogic incarnation. Great yogis and great siddhas constantly meditate upon Me.”
“Don’t think that the ‘Srīpāda Srīvallabha Charitāmrutam’ is a mere book. It is a live stream of a glorious consciousness.”
